Main Points regarding Karnataka SSLC 2 Supplementary Results 2025

The Karnataka SSLC Exam 2 was conducted to help those students who came across failures in a few subjects in SSLC Exam 1 (held from 21 March – 04 April, 2025) or wanted to score higher in a few subjects. Reports from the board show that 87,330 students are successful in SSLC Exam 2, and that overall 56.14% of the 11,818 students who were registered to upgrade any subject had upgraded their failed subjects. Government schools also had a pass percentage of 36.65% which was really good.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa praised the three-exam system and said: “The three-exam system has substantially reduced the stress of examinations itself and allows students to improve their overall performances. My team has been extremely efficient with a very high number of students improving their grades.”

The supplementary exams included the core subjects of First Language, Maths, Science, and Social Science as well as a variety of vocational subjects of Elements of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Programming in ANSI C, and Economics. Karnataka SSLC Result 2025: Exam 1 Summary

The Karnataka SSLC Exam 1 Results 2025 were published on April 30, 2025. The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEAB) reported a student population of 8,42,173 students, with 5,24,984 passing, yielding an overall percentage of passing students of 62.34%. Girls passed at a higher rate (74%) than boys (58.07%). Compared to the 2024 results, this year’s results were stronger overall as 22 students achieved 625 out of 625, including two government school students.

The KSEAB’s increased grade normalization from 10% to 20% and lowering the minimum qualifying percentage from 35% to 25%, may have positively influenced the number of passing students, with KSEAB’s handling of this year’s SSLC Exam making it easier for students to pass overall.

Three-exam System is Significant

The KSEAB’s three-exam system (the Exams 1, 2 and 3) has been praised for reducing fear of failure and allowing students multiple opportunities to demonstrate success. This system allows students to focus on overall performance, and if students do poorly on one exam, their penalization will not be nearly as severe. The supplemental exams (Exam 2, Exam 3) has proven beneficial in allowing students not to repeat an entire school year.
